Jones Lang LaSalle was crowned victorious at the National Surveyors’ Sevens Tournament, which took place on Sunday.
Some 24 teams took part in the event, now in its 42nd year, cheered on by 4,500 supporters.
The final between rival big firms JLL and CBRE was won 17-12 in the last minute with JLL scoring one of the tries of the tournament with the side-stepping skills of Mark Smith lining James Clements up for the winning point.
CBRE was handicapped after its experienced flier Tony Devlin left early to fly to Germany and captain Graham Barr left the field early with a torn achilles tendon. He was awarded Player of the Tournament.
The Plate final was won by Gerald Eve which beat Niche Midtown 7’s (represented by small, niche practices in Holborn) 28-24.
The tournament was this year raising funds for W4 Youth, a community youth group for 11-19-year-olds in Chiswick, West London.
