JLL has appointed three new senior executives to its EMEA data centre team as the growth of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies requiring infrastructure support provided by hyperscale data centres booms.
JLL’s latest research highlights the pace of the sector’s upward trajectory, with hyperscale providers continuing to drive market dynamics and predicted to increase their capital expenditure to $300bn (£244.6bn) in this year – a 50% increase on 2024.
To keep up with demand, the firm has appointed Steve Ross as UK and Ireland data centre operations lead, Godfrey Anderson as director and critical environment centre of excellence programme lead, and Ross Smyth as a senior consultant in its EMEA data centre consulting team.
