Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has strengthened its German retail operations with the acquisition of SCC Shopping Centre Consulting Dusseldorf.
The deal will see JLL (Frankfurt) buying 100% of SCC’s shares from the firm’s managing director Peter Fuhrmann and merging the two practices’ operations. SCC specialises in planning shopping centres and regeneration of existing centres.
Fuhrmann will stay on as a consultant to JLL’s German retail business. SCC co-director Helga Schemligk replaces him as managing director. “The resulting synergies of the merger promise incredible success”, Schemligk said.
The firm will also look to recruit extra staff, she added.
