Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is consolidating its Asian and Australasian operations as one regional division.
Executive chairman Christopher Brown will head up Jones Lang LaSalle Asia Pacific, which will cover Australia, New Zealand, China (including Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore. The company also reaffirmed its intention to open an office in South Korea “in the near future”.
JLL chairman and chief executive Stuart Scott said Asia still has “enormous growth potential”. “We already have great expertise and talent throughout Asia and Australasia so combining our forces is a logical step forward”, he added.
James Conybeare-Cross, who is chief operating officer for Asia, will take on the role for the entire region. Craig Williams is the chief executive officer for Australasia while Ken Winterschladen becomes chairman. Gerry Kipling, based in Hong Kong remains chief executive officer for Asia. Phil Simpson remains as his deputy.
Across the region, JLL Asia Pacific will have about 1,800 employees.
