JLL has appointed Nick Hart in the newly created role of head of strategic transactions, capital markets UK, with Jonathan Heptonstall replacing Hart as head of retail capital markets.
Heptonstall will lead the retail capital markets business alongside retail chairman Tim Vallance. Former Wilkinson Williams partner Drew Moore, who joined the firm in December as a retail investment director, will support the team.
Hart’s newly expanded, cross-sector role will take effect from the beginning of October. He will work closely with the international capital coverage team at the firm, led by Fraser Bowen.
Hart will be joined by retail investment director Josh Vernon, who will be taking on an expanded role as key capital markets director working across all sectors.
Hart said: “JLL’s leading retail capital markets team has transacted over a third of the investment volumes in both the shopping centre and high street markets in 2021. This strength of track record is testament to the depth of talent within the retail team.”
He added: “Jonny Heptonstall is well-positioned to take on the head of retail capital markets role as one of the UK’s leading retail advisors, having transacted retail deals across all retail sub sectors for 20 years. We are also very excited to welcome Drew Moore who brings a plethora of clients and decades of experience to the team.”
