JLL director rejoins C&W as head of retail capital markets

JLL director Marcus Wood has returned to Cushman & Wakefield as an international partner and its new head of UK retail capital markets.

Wood has spent nearly three-and-a-half years at JLL as a director leading its out-of-town retail team, and more recently in its capital markets asset repositioning team.

Before that, he worked at C&W and legacy DTZ for 25 years until 2018, latterly as an international partner specialising in out-of-town retail, leisure and grocery in its retail and leisure team.

In his new role, Wood will lead the UK retail capital markets team advising on transactional activity. He will work closely with Cushman & Wakefield’s out-of-town and shopping centre leasing team, as well as its cross-sector development team.

Dominic Bouvet, head of UK retail and leisure at Cushman & Wakefield, said Wood’s “transactional and repurposing expertise and strategic thinking” will allow investor clients to “generate the best value from their retail assets”.

Jason Winfield, head of UK and Ireland capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Marcus is unquestionably one of the most respected advisers among retail investors, having built strong relationships through his market-leading advice and the quality of support he provides to clients.”
