JLL has hired Simon Horan (pictured right) from Henry Davidson Development (HDD) as head of residential in Birmingham.
Horan was previously new business director for HDD, and has also worked as development director at Savills and CBRE.
He will build a new residential team based in Birmingham, which will work across the Midlands. The team will focus on “living” assets including student housing, build to rent, retirement and care homes. Its remit will also include advising on mixed-use opportunities, planning, valuation and public sector advisory work.

We’re very much looking to the long term and the future of cities, responding to the rise of the ‘living’ sector, driven by changing demographics, population shifts and a new view of placemaking.”
