JLL is in line for a boost to its central London property team in the spring, after the US giant recruited one of Savills’ top West End agents.
Jonathan O’Regan (pictured), who has led more than £2bn of acquisitions over the course of 11 years at Savills, is to join JLL’s capital markets team at the end of the first quarter next year.
During his decade at Savills he led the £300m disposal of 130-137 New Bond Street for HDG, as well as the £200m acquisition of 311 Oxford Street for a private investor.
In the new role at JLL, O’Regan will broaden his focus to deal with the City of London, as well as continuing his work in the West End.
O’Regan said the extended remit would allow him to “transact across the City and West End in a true central London sense and follow clients across the markets”.
Julian Sandbach, JLL’s head of central London office markets, said O’Regan was in the “leading bracket” of London investment agents.
He said: “Jonathan brings with him a first-class advisory record, strong client relationships and an approach which will be highly complementary to our London markets business.”
Rob Corbett, head of West End investment at JLL, added: “Jonathan is joining at a really exciting time in our evolution.
“While we are a successful business and have a market-leading position, adding someone of Jonathan’s calibre will help us further grow our business.”
