JLL Hotels’ Haigh joins Gerald Eve

Property consultancy Gerald Eve has hired Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ Peter Haigh as partner.

Haigh, who was also a partner at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, has more than 30 years’ experience of the leisure sector both in the UK and internationally. Most recently, he has specialised in the valuation of hotels, mixed-use resort developments and sporting venues.

Haigh also has advisory experience with pubs, day visitor attractions, restaurants and bars. His recent instructions include the new Montcalm hotel on Chiswell Street, EC1, the Earl’s Court and Olympia sites in West London, the Rugby Football Union and Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire.

Haigh’s departure follows that of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ senior vice-president Michelle Webb, revealed on EGi earlier this month. Webb is set to join Savills in the spring.

Charles Wilford, partner and co-head of Gerald Eve’s national leisure team, said: “Peter’s arrival is a real boost to the firm’s leisure team and underlines both the importance of the sector within the wider property market and also Gerald Eve’s commitment to offering clients only the very best levels of advice and service.”

Haigh added: “With the sector set to undergo considerable changes over the short and medium term, advice of the highest level is essential if clients are to take advantage of the opportunities that will surely be created.”
