JLL Hotels opens for business in Madrid

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Hotels has opened up shop in Madrid, positioning itself to take advantage of a strengthening market in Spain and Portugal.

The office will be run by Coré Martín, who had been with the European resort hotel division at Spanish hotel company Sol Meliá.

Room rates in Madrid have increased 18.5% in the first half of this year, growing on the back of rising rates in Barcelona, which has ranked among Europes strongest growth markets during the past several years. It posted a 22.7% increase in room rates during the first six months of the year, said JLL Hotels.

JLL Hotels is currently marketing the Los Zocos resort – a 324-unit, hotel and apartment-complex resort in the Canary Islands.
