JLL picks private equity director for European office investment team

JLL has picked a property acquisition director from private equity firm Intermediate Capital Group as the latest senior addition to its office investment team across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Richard Howgego will join the agency as a director in its office investment team, where he will advise clients on major office deals across the EMEA region.

Howgego was previously director of pan-European acquisitions at ICG and has 20 years’ experience in the industry. He has worked on more than €18bn of deals across 19 different countries.

Chris Staveley, head of EMEA office, international capital markets at JLL, said: “Richard has many years of pan-European investment transaction experience and has worked both as senior adviser to major investors and as a principal, giving him experience and insight into structuring and executing transactions across multiple European jurisdictions.”

Howgego added: “The office sector has seen a resurgence as it continues to recover, evolve and adapt from the impacts of Covid-19, which will offer investors plenty of opportunity to generate long-term value.”
