JLL promotes Javaher

Jones Lang LaSalle has promoted managing director for Romania Troy Javaher to head of capital markets for central and eastern Europe.

His post in Romania will be filled by Gijs Klomp.

After six years at the helm in Bucharest, Javaher will relocate to Prague to take up his new role. His move follows the announcement earlier this month that Tomasz Trzoslo, presently head of CEE capital markets, is to become the firm’s new managing director for Poland in April.

Javaher will take an overview of cross-border investment activities in CEE countries where Jones Lang LaSalle has offices: Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia. He will report to head of EMEA capital markets, Richard Bloxam, in London.

Bloxam said: “Over the long term, we see a clear trend in rising volumes of cross-border real estate investment into the region. Troy’s appointment into this new role further strengthens Jones Lang LaSalle’s market-leading capability to advise our clients on their cross-border investment requirements, working hand-in-hand with the strong capital markets teams we have in place in ten cities across seven countries in CEE. Troy is already very well known in the region, with a great track record and is the ideal fit for this new role.”

Javaher said: “It is a great honour for me to take over the key CEE capital markets international linkage role from Tomasz Trzoslo, who has been a fantastic leader of our highly accomplished team of market-leading investment professionals across central and eastern Europe.”
