JLL has postponed its sell-out property triathlon until 2021 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The agent said that following advice from the British Triathlon Federation and discussions with its event partner, Human Race, this year’s race day has been postponed until Friday, 2 July 2021.
All entries will be rolled forward.
JLL said the decision to postpone the event, at which thousands of property professionals gather to race and raise money for charity, had not been taken lightly.
UK chief executive Chris Ireland said: “I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. The property triathlon team, along with our event partner Human Race, carefully considered the options for this year’s event.
“Naturally, the health and wellbeing of participants and everyone involved on the day must come first. We trust that all entrants, many of whom take part every year, will understand that postponing the event to July 2021 is the right thing to do and we look forward to seeing everyone then.”
All donations received from this year’s event will remain with JLL’s charity partner Crisis, which is using the funds to help support homeless people during this critical moment in time.
To date, the JLL Property Triathlon has raised more than £2m for charity.
