JLL secures new Manchester HQ

JLL is to move its Manchester headquarters to Barings’ city centre Landmark development.

The agency will leave its premises at One Piccadilly to occupy the 10th floor of Landmark, located just off St Peter’s Square.

JLL has signed a 15-year lease for 13,896 sq ft. The building is expected to complete in the third quarter of this year.

It is the first tenant to be confirmed at Landmark.

Barings managing director Ian Mayhew said: “We have worked incredibly hard to design and deliver much-needed offices in Manchester’s premier business district that appeal to forward-thinking organisations like JLL.

“To have secured such a high-profile global occupier as our first preletting at Landmark is an excellent result that endorses our strategy.”

Stephen Hogg, lead director, North West at JLL added: “We set our objective to relocate to best-in-class offices to provide our valued Manchester team and our clients with a dynamic, inspiring workplace and we are delighted to be taking space within Barings’ Landmark scheme.

“We recognise the building’s commercial benefits around its highly efficient floorplates, as well as the amazing reception along with first-class design credentials and digital and physical connectivity.”

CBRE and Colliers International are the leasing agents on Landmark.
