JLL to separate Russian business

JLL has followed its biggest rivals in the agency world and distanced itself from its Russian business given the war in Ukraine.

The agency said it would “separate our domestic operations in Russia”, without elaborating on what that would mean. Other agencies have terminated relationships with Russian affiliates or franchisee partners.

JLL added that it would “continue to support a small number of multinational clients with their transition strategies”.

The agency said: “Our main priority has always been to support our colleagues in Ukraine whose lives are in grave danger. We also have a responsibility to our people in Russia, who face turmoil and upheaval. The painful reality for our colleagues in Ukraine and Russia is unimaginable suffering and we deeply regret the impact on their lives and are doing everything we can to help them.”
