JLL wins Sun Microsystems contract

Technology and data storage group Sun Microsystems has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle to manage its 17m sq ft global property portfolio.

Jones Lang LaSalle beat shortlisted rival Cushmans & Wakefield Healey & Baker to the facilities management and estates management contract, which covers offices, lab and manufacturing facilities in 44 countries.

Sun Microsystems’ portfolio comprises 2.65m sq ft of owned and leased property in Europe, with 281,809 sq ft located in the UK.

Tom Bayne-Jardine, a director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions team, has been named the Global Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for Sun Microsystems.

Regional CRMs include James Lawford in London, Betsy McGregor in San Francisco and Bruce Davidson in Singapore.

David Raduziner, senior director of workplace resources at Sun Microsystems, said: “Jones Lang LaSalle’s globally integrated service platform, deep real estate expertise and strong track record of success will enable Sun Microsystems to enhance our commitment to provide our employees around the world with a consistently high quality work environment.”
