After 30 years of failing to make the final, Jones Lang LaSalle won the Surveyors Sevens rugby tournament last week.
The team beat a strong King Sturge side 26-7 to lift the cup at the annual event at Richmond Athletic Ground in Surrey after winning all its games, beating RICS Matrics in the semi-finals.
Strutt & Parker won the plate final 24-5 and the player of the tournament was JLL’s Tom Hupfield.
Andrew Hynard, chairman of JLL’s English business, said: “We are all thrilled that the team played so well. The last time we won the tournament was in 1977 as Jones Lang Wootton, so that makes it even more special.”
The Estates Gazette event was attended by around 4,000 people and this year staged under a new format comprising 24 teams in six pools of four teams.
