Ross Bendall, the only office agent in Jones Lang Wootton’s Birmingham team, is leaving to join Richard Ellis’ operation in the city.
Bendall, currently an associate at JLW, will join RE in July to work as senior surveyor in its office agency team under divisional director John Griffiths.
“It is a problem,” Dick Harvey, partner in charge of JLW’s Birmingham office, told EGi. “It would be wrong not to admit it.”JLW is currently recruiting for a junior in its Birmingham office agency but Harvey said he would now look to recruit at a more senior level.
In the last 12 months, Birmingham has seen a number of agents moving to rival firms as the market has recovered and names like FPD Savills, Knight Frank, Holley Blake and Drivers Jonas decided to set up commercial operations in the city for the first time.
