The new multi-million pound store will anchor the £500m Town Centre North redevelopment scheme, and will represent the “next generation” of John Lewis’ stores.
The planned opening date will be 2013, subject to the Town Centre North development receiving planning approval.
Crawley Borough Council teamed up with Grosvenor in 2005 to transform 32 acres of land around The Boulevard.
The Council is about to consult on the planning framework that will shape the site, which is set to include another large store, retail units, leisure facilities, restaurants, a hotel, a facility for a primary care trust, town centre residential development and a new town hall.
