John Lewis commits itself to Stratford City

John Lewis has become the first retailer to commit itself to space at the £4.5bn Stratford City Olympic Village, in east London.

It will open a £50m John Lewis department store of 240,000 sq ft and Waitrose supermarket in 2010.

Waitrose recently opened stores in Scotland for the first time.
