John Lewis is launching a scheme that will enable customers to book the services of approved tradesmen, including electricians, plumbers and gardeners.
The scheme has already been trialled in Milton Keynes and Northampton, and will now be made available in Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Taunton.
Some 150 tradespeople have signed up to the Home Solutions service, and can be booked via an app or on the website, or through a call centre. Work will be guaranteed for a year.
