John Lewis is to open two new department stores in Glasgow and Bluewater, Kent. A Waitrose food outlet in Salisbury is due to open at the end of the month.
The retailer has just reported profits up 21% to £95m for the six months to the end of July, on sales up 7% to £1.6bn.
