JPMorgan buys second Paris HQ

JPMorgan Chase has bought a second building in Paris that can house 450 employees, as it prepares to move its euro-related operations out of London.

The seven-storey, 6,600 sqm property, close to JPMorgan’s existing Paris HQ on Place Vendôme, will house sales people and traders, and will make Paris JPMorgan’s biggest location in Europe after London.

Bank of America recently opened a new trading floor in Paris with room for a 1,000 staff, while HSBC is moving 1,000 jobs to France from Canary Wharf.
