JR Smart secures 21,000 sq ft letting at Cardiff scheme

JR Smart (Builders) has kick-started the second speculative phase of its Capital Business Park, Cardiff, with a 21,000 sq ft letting to ANC Express.

The first 100,000 sq ft of the 1m sq ft park at Wentloog is already fully let, while German supermarket chain Aldi has also signed for a 350,000 sq ft regional distribution headquarters that is under construction.

JR Smart director Alex Smart said, “Having identified occupiers for all 26 units on Phase I, we recognise that there remained strong demand in the Cardiff market for flexible floor space available to purchase or lease.

“ANC’s decision to lease four adjoining units totally 21,600 sq ft indicates the built-in flexibility in our development.

“The second phase will comprise a further 26 units.”

Orchard House Associates acted for ANC.

Fletcher Morgan and King Sturge are joint marketing agents on Capital Business Park.

Based in Staffordshire, ANC Express has a national network of 85 depots.
