Spices-to-sweets retailer Julian Graves is poised to accelerate store openings, backed by a £5m investment from venture capitalist backers.
The company had planned 27 stores this year without the cash. If venture capitalist funds are secured, the retailer will look either to speed up the opening programme or expand by acquisition.
The 93-strong group is talking to two venture capitalists and hopes a decision will be made in the next fortnight.
