BlackRock has announced the appointment of Justin Brown as managing director of its real estate team.
Brown joins from UBS, where he was executive director of global real estate and managed the £1bn UBS Triton Property fund since 2010. He will work alongside Marcus Sperber, head of BlackRock’s International Real Estate team, in the London office, managing the £2.1bn BlackRock UK Property Fund.
Sperber said: “Justin will play a significant role in overseeing the management of the BlackRock UK Property Fund. With his impressive track record and experience in managing commercial property portfolios, he brings a wealth of knowledge across the mix of retail, office, industrial and warehouse investing to this role. Justin is another first-class addition to BlackRock’s real estate team, and we look forward to him joining.”
