The English Residential Land Partnership, a joint venture between Europa Capital and St Congar Land, has bought a 180-acre plot near St Albans, Hertfordshire.
The jv is understood to have paid HSBC about £20m for the land, which comprises a 14-acre previously developed site, including a 250,000 sq ft training centre for the bank, and a number of residential properties.
Steve Taylor, partner of St Congar Land, said: “We look forward to working with the local authority and other stakeholders in formulating our options for the site under the new planning regime of the National Planning Policy Framework.”
The English Residential Land Partnership was advised by Bidwells; CBRE represented HSBC.
