Kadans Science Partner has received planning approval from Cambridge City Council for the development of a purpose-built laboratory and office building at Merlin Place, Cambridge.
The move comes after a decision on the scheme was deferred by planners in October last year amid concerns of the overdevelopment of the site. Despite that, the scheme was still recommended for approval.
The 139,000 sq ft development is expected to serve as a new gateway building for the Cambridge North cluster.
The scheme, which is valued at circa £60m, is designed to allow full flexibility, from a single tenant to multi-tenant split.
