Kadans Science Partner launches hunt for UK property boss

Developer Kadans Science Partner has launched a search for a head of property management for its UK portfolio.

The newly-created role will involve overseeing day-to-day real estate operations, identifying new opportunities and onboarding new tenants.

The new role will mean Kadans has a headcount of 14 staff in the UK and the firm plans to get to 16 by the end of the year.

The move comes as the Netherlands-based company is in advanced talks to expand its position in the UK with new developments and acquisitions.

The Kadans portfolio consists of laboratory facilities including cleanrooms, research facilities, pilot plants and more traditional office space, serving research and development departments of knowledge institutions, educational bodies and knowledge-intensive businesses in life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology and high-tech industries.

In the UK, Kadans owns and manages Merlin Place and Babraham Research Campus in Cambridge; Abingdon Science Park in Oxford (pictured); several buildings in King’s Cross, London; Sycamore House in Stevenage; and West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow.

In addition, as part of the Kadans UK portfolio, the firm has formed a joint venture with Canary Wharf Group to deliver the biggest multi-let life science building in Europe.
