Kent Foods takes space at Gateway Park

Kent-Foods-logoLaSalle Investment Management and Roxhill Developments have let 72,000 sq ft of space at Unit 2 of Gateway Park, Basildon, Essex, to Kent Foods.

The company has signed for a period of 10 years at a rent of £7 per sq ft.

The unit was constructed last year as part of the speculative development joint venture between Roxhill and LaSalle at two locations in Basildon, Essex, and Aylesford, Kent.

The Basildon scheme completed in the autumn of 2014 and consists of two buildings totalling 180,000 sq ft.

Toby Wenham, associate director at LaSalle Investment Management, said: “This is a fantastic letting to an aspirational company and justifies the decision to speculatively develop in well-located areas so early on in the cycle.”

Jones Lang LaSalle and Altus Edwin Hill are retained agents on the units. Kent Foods was unrepresented in the deal.
