The Dungeness estate in Kent is up for sale at an asking price of £1.5m.
Strutt and Parker say the site – designated a site of special scientific interest – has potential for earnings from tourism. It is described by the Met Office as the country’s only desert.
The land being sold comprises 468 acres and includes 22 properties, most of which are converted railway cottages.
