Kerslake to deliver housing crisis verdict

Sir-Bob-Kerslake-THUMBThe chairman of the London Housing Commission, Lord Robert Kerslake, will exclusively reveal the key findings of his report into the capital’s housing crisis at an Estates Gazette lecture on Thursday 25 February.

Lord Kerslake, the former head of the civil service and current chairman of Peabody Housing Association, has described the response to Britain’s housing crisis as one of the biggest government policy failures of our time.

He will deliver the annual Estates Gazette Peter Wilson Lecture at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, and is expected to set out a strategy for the next London mayor to boost supply as well as address failings in the private rented sector across the country.

The lecture is free to attend. Doors open at 5pm for a 6pm start and the lecture, including an audience Q&A, will finish by 7pm.
