Kettlebell Kitchen signs for First Street space

PATRIZIA has signed “healthy fast food” restaurant Kettlebell Kitchen to its First Street neighbourhood in Manchester.

The deal means the first 32,000 sq ft phase of food and drink outlets at the First Street estate on Whitworth Street is now fully let.

Kettlebell Kitchen, which also has premises in Ancoats, will open this summer alongside other recent signings Junkyard Golf Club and Masterchef winner Simon Wood’s Wood Manchester restaurant.

The 20-acre First Street estate launched two years ago by Ask Real Estate and was acquired by PATRIZIA in 2015. Ask Real Estate was retained as development manager.

The latest Grade A office development on site, the 170,000 sq ft No 8 First Street, will complete at the end of this year, after which gas giant Gazprom will move its staff to the top two floors of the building from its current home at No 1 First Street.

Five further retail units will be available on the ground floor of No 8 when it completes.
