KF to sell £400m student digs portfolio

Student-digs-THUMB.jpegKnight Frank has been appointed to bring the Ardent student accommodation portfolio to market at an asking price of £400m, reflecting a 6.25% yield.

The portfolio, being sold on behalf of Guernsey-based International Mutual Fund, includes 25 assets spread across 12 UK cities.

Most of the schemes are in cities with two or more universities; 35% of the portfolio by value is in London.

The International Mutual Fund’s sale of the Ardent Portfolio represents all of assets within the MSA Fund, which is now closed for redemptions.

The portfolio provides a market entrant with a ready-made student accommodation platform.
