KFIM acquires £100m Sainsbury’s hub

Knight Frank Investment Management has completed a £100m acquisition of a Sainsbury’s regional distribution unit at Hams Hall, Birmingham

The deal was completed on behalf of a consortium of Korean institutional investors.

It is the second acquisition that KFIM has made on behalf of this entity – three weeks ago it acquired a BAE-occupied manufacturing warehouse at Radway Green, Crewe, for £56m.

Kevin Aitchison, chief executive, Knight Frank Investment Management, said: “Hams Hall is one of the strongest distribution locations in the UK and is one of Sainsbury’s key regional hubs. From an investment perspective it provides a long cash flow from an institutional-grade tenant in a location that has strong underlying investment fundamentals.”

Knight Frank acted for KFIM; CBGA represented the vendor, Christian Vision, a fund managed by IM Properties.
