London mayor Sadiq Khan has criticised foreign investors for using homes in the capital as gold bricks for investment.
There is no point in building thousands of homes if they are to be bought by foreign investors as a second home or to sit vacant, he said.
Khan said he was aiming to encourage foreign investors to fund the construction of affordable homes by putting money into the Homes for Londoners agency.
