Kier has been selected as preferred developer to bring forward a £100m redevelopment of the former Manor and Kingsway hospital in Derby city centre.
The developer was selected for the 700-home project by the Homes & Communities Agency and Derby council. Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey and affordable housing provider Nottingham Community Housing Association will work with Kier on the 10-year project.
Work on site is scheduled to begin in the autumn.
