Hotelier Maurice ODonoghue, through his company Halstead Enterprises, has announced plans for a £30m mixed-use development at the site of the transport museum near the centre of Killarney town in Co. Kerry.
O’Donoghue proposes 16 shops and a six-storey hotel in the popular tourist destination.
The 208,000 sq ft (19,323 sq m) development will also include a two-storey bar, a leisure centre, 12 apartments and an underground car park.
The plans also include the demolition of the transport museum and of the old Scotts Hotel.
