King quits UKGBC for Lend Lease

Paul King is to step down as chief executive of the UK Green Building Council next year in favour of a move to Lend Lease.

King, who has run UKGBC for seven years, will leave in February 2015. He will become managing director of sustainability for Lend Lease in Europe.

Dan Labbad, Lend Lease’s chief executive officer, international operations, said: “Paul’s expertise across the property and construction industry will ensure that we continue to push the boundaries to find more innovative ways to meet the needs of a rapidly urbanising world.”

King said: “Sustainability is about meeting the needs and aspirations of people in the future within environmental limits, and Lend Lease’s strategic focus on creating and regenerating the best places in cities around the world means ensuring those places will be genuinely sustainable for generations to come.”
