The Soho private members’ club that was the setting for one of the 20th century’s biggest political scandals, has been sold to CG Restaurants.
The 1,100 sq ft Kingly Club just off Golden Square, W1, was sold by Patrice Gouty. The lease expires in 2023 and has a £52,500 pa passing rent.
CG Restaurants owns the Tuttons eatery in the West End, pizza chain Fire & Stone and the Dirty Martini cocktail bars.
Goulty sought a £500,000 premium when he put the club up for sale in April.
The Kingly Club was formerly the Pinstripe Club, which hosted the likes of Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn and was shut down as a result of the John Profumo/Christine Keeler affair.
Davis Coffer Lyons acted for Goulty.
