Kinleigh Folkard Hayward close another office

Estate agent Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward has closed another office in South London.

KFH confirmed that its Ealing branch was closing today, following the closure of its Hampstead Garden Suburb and Orpington offices earlier this year.

In March, the agent said the closures of the two offices were not to do with the credit crunch, but because they did not form part of its “long-term business strategy”.

KFH also said it was looking to expand the network over the next few years.

But Paul Masters, director at Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward, said today: “Today we are closing our branch in Ealing. As with the rest of the property industry, we are continuing to monitor market conditions.”

Last week KFH released research warning that property transactions would have halved this year, with 600,000 sales transactions in the UK this year in total – down from 1.2m in 2007.

The estate agent has around 50 offices in and around London.
