Knight Dragon has lodged detailed plans for the next stage of its £8bn Greenwich Peninsula project.
After securing consent for a revised 17,487 masterplan last year, the developer is now bringing forward detailed plans for 431 homes on plot 19.05.
The 1.4-acre site is located towards the southeast corner of the original 2015 masterplan area, within the Lower Riverside area. Knight Dragon has already delivered 2,572 homes in this neighbourhood with affordable housing from L&Q. The new plans are an extension to this, connecting the site with the Central Park.
The plans would see 100% private housing across four blocks of up to 20 storeys, designed by Allies and Morrison architects. There is a larger proportion of studio (31%) and one-bedroom (39%) flats, catering to a target market of first-time buyers and young professionals.
Knight Dragon is also preparing to open the recently-completed Design District, which comprises 16 commercial buildings designed for businesses in creative industries.
The Hong Kong developer bought the site from Quintain in 2013 for £186m, and has continued to evolve the plans as it brings forward different parcels.
Knight Dragon gained consent for the original £8.4bn masterplan for Greenwich Peninsula in 2015. The developer then added 1,757 in a revised consent last year. The hybrid application allows for co-living or student, following on from build-to-rent at the site from the Lincoln MGT joint venture.
