Knight Frank confirms North West redundancies

Knight Frank has confirmed that it has made six people redundant from its Manchester and Liverpool offices.

The firm would not identify individuals affected, but it is understood that those leaving the business include offices partner Daniel Bourmad and investment partner Abid Jaffrey, both based in Manchester.

Knight Frank announced in July that it is consolidating its North West operation into its Manchester office, closing its Liverpool branch as a result. The agency employed nine people in Liverpool and occupied around 4,500 sq ft in Horton House in the city centre.

A statement from Knight Frank said: “Following the recent restructure of services across Knight Frank’s North West operations, which saw the closure of its Liverpool office, the firm has been consulting with a number of employees to consolidate its operations in the region.

“Six members of staff have been made redundant across the Liverpool and Manchester offices, with one member of staff still under consultation. Knight Frank will continue to run a full service to their respective clients out of the Manchester office and as part of the restructure, Knight Frank is considering relocating its premises in Manchester City Centre to incorporate the larger team, which will now consist of 32 people.”
