Knight Frank has appointed Andrew Sim and Tim Hyatt as its new European boss and London residential respectively.
Sim, who is head of global capital markets at Knight Frank, is to take over from Chris Bell, while Hyatt, currently head of lettings, will replace Noel Flint when both retire in March next year.
Sim will also continue in his role as head of global capital markets, while Knight Frank partner Lucy Jones will take responsibility for the firm’s lettings business from Hyatt.
‘Exceptional contribution’
Alistair Elliott, senior partner and group chairman at Knight Frank, said: “Chris Bell has made an exceptional contribution to the partnership over his 30 years. In his most recent role as European head, he has expanded the business to a network of more than 28 offices comprising 1,000 people and guided the teams through some challenging markets.
“We are lucky that in Andrew we have a well-placed successor, someone who works closely with our European network and understands the complexities across the markets.”
Andrew Hay, global head of residential at Knight Frank, said: “Noel has been a hugely loyal, hard-working and highly respected member of the firm. Having started his career at Knight Frank 38 years ago in the Hereford office, he then went on to run the Knightsbridge office before taking the helm of the London business. A steadfast figurehead of the business, he will be greatly missed.
‘Excellent successor’
“I am confident that in Tim we have an excellent successor. He has been an integral part of the London business since he joined in 2003, expanding the lettings business to the market-leading force that it is today and I look forward to seeing the next chapter for our London teams under his lead.
“Lucy Jones has made a significant impact on our business having joined us five years ago, setting up investment lettings management and having responsibility for the operational elements of Knight Frank’s lettings business, which she has helped increase significantly.”
