Knight Frank launches capital advisory unit

Knight Frank has set up a capital advisory division to source debt and equity deals for clients across the UK and Europe.

Knight Frank Capital Advisory will bring together the agency’s new equity advisory team and its debt advisory business, headed by Lisa Attenborough. The division currently has 10 staff, which Knight Frank expects to grow to 15 in the coming months.

The new group will be led by Birju Shah, who has worked at Kleinwort Benson, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank and joins Knight Frank from Cairn Capital, where he was head of corporate advisory.

The company has also hired Emma Winning as equity advisory partner. Winning has previously worked at Deutsche Bank and Argent Related.

James Mannix, head of residential development and investment, said: “The introduction of KFCA and Birju’s arrival, alongside Lisa Attenborough’s debt team, significantly expands Knight Frank’s partnership-led approach to our client advice. We can now help our clients with capital raising across debt and equity to complement the market-leading real estate advice we are well known for. We will continue to build and invest in this part of our business over the next few years.”
