Goodford to leave Knight Frank after 37 years

Knight Frank has launched a hunt for a new head of life sciences as Emma Goodford, who has led the team for the past two years, will retire in March 2025.

Goodford has spent 37 years with the consultancy after joining its graduate training programme in 1987. Earlier in her career, she has worked across several teams, starting in the West End agency before moving to the South East Business Space team and taking over the helm of the National Offices team in 2006.

Most recently, Goodford was charged with establishing Knight Frank’s team in the life sciences sector, spearheading its growth across the UK and working with the firm’s US occupier services partner Cresa.

Following the growth of the sector, Knight Frank has opened an office in Cambridge, headed by Iain Keys.

Goodford said: “For over three decades, Knight Frank has been a place to build my career, enabling me to develop close relationships with clients to devise and deliver buildings and places.

“The firm’s partnership culture sets it apart in the market and ensures that it continues to be a place to work, promoting teamwork across its global network.”

William Beardmore-Gray, senior partner and group chair at Knight Frank, said: “[Goodford] has made a huge impact, not only professionally – having worked on some of the UK’s best known mixed-use and workplace developments – but personally too.”

Outside of her role at Knight Frank, Emma is a trustee of Club Peloton which organises the Cycle to MIPIM and PedElle charity bike rides.
