Knight Frank is to relocate its Birmingham office to 103 Colmore Row, Tristan Capital Partners’ new tower in the city.
The property giant has signed a 15-year lease on part of the 18th floor of the site, which was developed as part of a joint venture with Sterling Property Ventures.
Knight Frank is based at the nearby One Colmore Row, where it employs about 50 people. It is set to move to its new 4,376 sq ft office in the coming months. It is also joint leasing agent for 103 Colmore Row, along with Colliers and Cushman & Wakefield.
Ashley Hudson, Birmingham office head at Knight Frank, said the building “tick[ed] all the right boxes in terms of ESG, design and location”.
He added: “A significant part of our strategy is to recruit the very best talent in the industry and our move to 103 Colmore Row reflects this. It is equally essential that our existing people are motivated and uplifted by the move, and we firmly believe that this is the best building in Birmingham to achieve this.”
103 Colmore Row contains 223,631 sq ft of office space and is rated BREEAM Excellent. At 108 metres high, it was the tallest office development under construction in the UK outside London until it reached practical completion this month.
Knight Frank joins law firm Shoosmiths, wealth management group Tilney Smith & Williamson, accountant Grant Thornton, and flexible working company X+Why at the building.
James Howarth, managing director of Sterling Property Ventures, said: “As businesses start to adapt to new ways of working and understanding their future office requirements, we have seen increased interest from occupiers looking to relocate to better quality accommodation.”
