Knight Frank opens new office in Bulgaria

Knight Frank has launched a new office in Sofia, Bulgaria, in response to “increasing” client demand for real estate services in the region.

The office is located in World Trade Center Interpred, within the Broad Center office submarket.

The business will initially focus on office leasing advisory to corporate owners and occupiers. Knight Frank said it is planning to offer the “full spectrum” of commercial property services in future.

Knight Frank said Sofia has 23.6m sq ft of class A, B and owner-occupied office stock with a further 5.4m sq ft of new class A office space anticipated by 2023.

Andrew Sim, managing director of Europe at Knight Frank, said: “In spite of these extraordinary times our European business is going from strength to strength.”

Horatiu Florescu, chairman and chief executive of Knight Frank Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria, said: “The opening of Knight Frank Bulgaria represents an exciting expansion of the network, allowing us unrivalled coverage of this important market.

“Sofia is a city in the vicinity of our already dominant presence in Bucharest and Budapest, so this opening comes as a natural step in order to be able to best service our existent database present in Bulgaria as well.”

Lyubo Mladenov, associate director at Knight Frank Bulgaria, said: “This step, in these particular times, will enable us to revitalise the role an office plays for organisations and to help shape the future of the workplace, since businesses still want a central hub.”
