Knight Frank’s Birmingham office has poached Simon Spencer from DTZ Debenham Tie Leung to head up its industrial agency team.
As an associate director, Spencer, who was with DTZ for ten years, ran the office’s industrial development arm. He joins Knight Frank on Monday.
The new appointment signals expansion at KF’s Birmingham office. Mark Swallow, managing partner at KF in Birmingham, said: “This is out first major signing in the last six months. A major hole in our armoury has been filled. We’re concentrating on getting into the industrial market which is vital in the region.”
Swallow confirmed that further new signings could be on the horizon. “We’re considering taking on three more people in the next six to 12 months on the agency and professional side.”
In Manchester, David Roper is leaving King Sturge to head the professional services team at KF. Roper is the second member of staff at King Sturge’s Manchester office to take this path. He follows Graeme Wood who left KS to replace Robert Shaw at KF following his resignation as managing partner in December.
AT KS, Roper was responsible for the professional team. He had been with KS for 16 years.
