Knight Frank poaches Eastdil agents for hotels expansion

Knight Frank has recruited four Eastdil Secured hospitality advisers to expand its global hotels platform.

Adam Etra, Mark Schoenholtz, Lawrence Wolfe and Miles Spencer, have all been appointed managing directors.

The new recruits oversaw Eastdil’s hospitality division for the eastern half of the US, and were responsible for deals such as Anbang Insurance Group’s purchase of the Waldorf Astoria in 2015 for $1.9bn (£1.4bn), as well as recently brokering the closure of Capstone Equities.

Julian Evans, head of healthcare, hotels and leisure at Knight Frank, said: “Whilst they will help build on our hotels platform in the US they will also be able to offer experience across the globe, particularly in the UK market.”

“Knight Frank annually advises on £40bn of hotel & healthcare assets in the UK and has the global platform, highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced team that is uniquely positioned to drive further investment in the UK market and go some way to catching up with the sophisticated US model. We look forward to working with our US counterparts going forward.”
